We run a bereavement drop-in centre on the first Wednesday of every month, from 10.30 a.m. until noon. If you are overburdened with a recent loss, or if you are just feeling sad, we want to help. We are here to listen and share your memories of your friend or loved one. We also offer telephone consultations if you do not feel up to coming out. Please email or phone us and leave your details. One of our trained volunteers will contact you.
Many of our volunteers have been making weekly visits to the Brackenbridge House care home. Many of the residents have infrequent callers and our visits have been much appreciated. Our Minnie Vinnies and B-Attitude groups also join us frequently, which the residents find delightful.

Location: The Parish hall, adjacent to the church.
Our food bank is primarily a distribution centre for Hillingdon Foodbank, which is itself part of a larger, nationwide network of food banks. We distribute a week’s worth of essentials to individuals and families in an emergency situation, such as catastrophic illness or unemployment.
In addition, we partner with FareShare to distribute fresh food from major food retailers that would otherwise go to waste. We can also provide smaller parcels of food and essentials (such as toiletries or long-life milk) to those struggling to make ends meet.
Since the SVP was founded in 1833, a special focus has been person-to-person care, especially with those isolated in the community. We share our time with the long-term sick (or their carers), elderly people with few friends or family nearby, the recently widowed and others who, for many reasons, feel alone.
We hear of people to visit from our parish and neighbours. If you know of someone who you feel might benefit from a friendly chat once a week, please let us know.
