Thank you to all who were able to attend our annual SVP Mass on Friday evening. We hope you got to know some of the SVP members in the hall afterwards.

Everything we do depends on volunteers. At the moment, we would really welcome some new volunteers for the food bank team. The food bank runs on Saturdays, and we need help setting up and distributing food from 11am to 2pm. We are getting ready for autumn and winter, which tend to be busy. If you’d like to help, please get in touch!

Just a reminder that our annual SVP Mass will be celebrated next Friday, 25 September, at 7:30pm. Light refreshments will be provided in the hall afterwards.

This is a Mass of thanksgiving for all the support we receive from you, our parishioners, throughout the year, so you are all invited to attend. Our parish is also blessed with a young people’s SVP group, the B-Attitudes, and a team of primary school pupils, the Mini-Vinnies, so we are hoping for a really strong turnout. Please remember to invite family, friends and neighbours as well! We are always on the lookout for new members, so if you feel inspired by the evening, why not have a chat with one of the team and let the Holy Spirit guide you from there?

Secondly, as our food bank heads into its 11th autumn and winter season, we are appealing for additional adults (aged 18 or over) to volunteer on Saturdays. The operational hours are 11am to 2pm, but you don’t need to commit to every Saturday. Please consider responding to this appeal by contacting us. You will find that the Holy Spirit will reward you many times over, and you’ll make a whole new bunch of friends. We really look forward to hearing from you!

The SVP Team would like to welcome everyone back from the summer holidays and wish everyone well as they return to their normal routines!

September can be busy and, looking at the SVP agenda, it is certainly shaping up that way. We kick off with our Bereavement Support Group drop-in session on Wednesday after the 10am Mass. The following weekend, our ‘Gifted’ shop will be open after the Masses. Later in the month, our annual SVP Mass of Thanksgiving will be held on Friday, Sept. 25, at 7:30pm. Everyone is welcome, so please bring your family and friends if you can.
