Watching out for each other

As the nights draw in and the weather is getting colder, please remember to keep a look out for your elderly or vulnerable neighbours. It is the time of year where we do not venture beyond our front door. There are many people who live alone and may not have many visitors. Bereavement group meeting

The SVP Bereavement Care group meets on the first Wednesday of every month, so why not pop into the hall after mass on Wednesday morning for a cup of tea and a chat with Bridget and her team? If you cannot make it and you would like to chat about a loss, then you can contact Bridget on 07562475720.

Next weekend, Nov. 6-7, the SVP shop will be open in the porch. We are excited to let you know our first lot of Christmas stock has arrived and will be on sale – everything from cards to Advent candles.

B-Attitudes meeting

Our B-Attitude group will be meeting again on Friday, Oct. 29, at 5pm in the church hall. It is time to finalise the gifts for the residents of Brackenbridge House Care Home and plan any Christmas activities.

If you and your friends would like to join us, please come along to the meeting and see what we are all about. The group is for young people of high school age. We look forward to welcoming any new members.

Thank you for your support

As you know the SVP shop, GIFTED, opened this weekend. Once again your support was amazing and I would like to thank all of the parishioners for their continued support of the SVP.

Thank you too for your support of the foodbank. We do anticipate things picking up a bit with the furlough scheme coming to an end, we could see more people out of work. Please keep all those who feel the need to use the foodbank in your prayers.
